The Spin Spectrum was born out of a simple frustration — as our special needs children are aging and becoming adults, we couldn't find meaningful and safe employment for them.

The Spin Spectrum started with a dream—but more importantly, it started with our children.
We're a family with a big dream and an even bigger purpose. As parents of children with special needs, we know how challenging it can be to find meaningful employment and build a future that feels possible.
That's why we created The Spin Spectrum. Our Wash, Dry & Fold pickup and delivery service is the first step toward a much bigger goal: creating meaningful, supported employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an environment where their unique abilities are valued.

Eco-Conscious
We have optional biodegradable, fragrance-free detergents and energy-efficient machines to minimize our footprint. Our machines are wash and dry in one machine reducing the amount of time and energy used.

We're your neighbors. We hire locally and once we have our brick and mortar location, our desire is to employ special needs adults to utilize their individual abilities in a safe environment.

Andrea Hurt
Founder & CEO
Andrea founded The Spin Spectrum with a vision that reaches far beyond laundry. As a mother and longtime advocate for children with special needs, she understands the importance of creating meaningful opportunities where individuals of all abilities can contribute, grow, and feel valued. She oversees the day-to-day operations of The Spin Spectrum while working toward its larger mission: creating supported employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Ronald Hurt
Co-Owner & Head of Operations
Ronnie keeps The Spin Spectrum moving—literally! As Director of Operations and Driver, he manages pickups and deliveries while helping oversee the day-to-day logistics that keep everything running smoothly. As Andrea’s partner in both life and business, Ronnie shares her passion for building a company with purpose and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals with special needs.
Kimberly Hurt
Marketing Genius Extraordinare
As Andrea and Ronnie’s oldest daughter, Kimi brings creativity and fresh ideas to the family business as The Spin Spectrum’s Marketing Expert. She helps share our story, connect with the community, and spread the word about the mission behind every load—helping turn our family’s vision into a message that reaches others.
